We fail to rehabilitate. If you ask around who would want murderer or a convict living in thier neighborhood, everyone says not me. Everyone also agrees that if they have paid thier dues to society they should be allowed to live freely. So, where do they live, how do they get a job. If they have emotional issues how do they deal with them if society does not want them. We should teach convicts the gospel, or at a minimum how to live right, and if they are penitent, then take them into our lives and embrace them as children of God. If they refuse to repent and live righteously then society does not want them around and they will be of no use to the society.
