Which 2008 Presidential Candidate Agrees With You?
Visit the Candidate Calculator.
Then come back and let me know who the calculator says you are voting for and tell me if you agree.
According to the calculator, this is who I am most aligned with:
1- Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R)
2- Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) – 89.39%
3- Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson (R) – 83.33%
I am not sure if I agree because I was not familiar with all of the issues and thus I left many of them at “Unsure”.
I have to disagree with their scoring. As is, if I strongly disagree with a candidate on say… abortion… the score is the same as it would be if I’d marked unsure.
Apparently not a perfect system. They do give an explanation of their scoring methods so I would take it with a grain of salt.
Well, that settles it I have to vote for what the calculator says
I’m calculated to be most in line with Fred Thompson. Which sounds about right, it’s him or Romney for me. Oddly enough I had quite a few lower tier candidates high up on my list. I imagine most people do. We as a people don’t just vote by who represents our ideas most though. Perhaps we should more often.
I think we should. It is hard to take the time to find out which ones do and then there is always the chance that they are not being forthright in what they say they are aligned for.
For the record, they’re telling me I should vote John Cox (R) 95.65% match. (Who?)
I guess you should read up on who you are voting for.
lol
That just helps prove that it is a rare thing that people in general know anything about candidates other than the final 2 or 3 that actually win the primaries. Even then, how often do we really know the people we are voting for?
Looks like John Cox wrote Politic$ Inc and is a progressive conservative. I guess I should at least see if the book’s at the library
If it turns out I like him, maybe I’ll give him a vote of support at the primaries, since Mitt (who I would love to see as president) will win here in Utah anyway.
